You heaved a sigh of despair
all the weight of the world on you.
Although darkness crawls
out of the pit of your soul
no need to be upset
waste no time for trivialities.
Listen to the universe breathing
and watch the stars in awe
like jewels hanging by a thread
on the sky’s seamless face.
In this world twirling
as fast as a spinning top
my story is not unheard of
yours is not something new.
Each of us goes through something
someone has already gone through.
What makes you think you can’t get through this all?
The lake is filled with all the the tears of our forefathers
but doesn’t it all just evaporate into scents
that we may not drown from our own tears.
Hold on tight, don’t be blown over
by the gushing winds and stormy weather
one fine day
the tempest will also abate of her anger
life’s relentless battering will also subside
before you knew it
today is already the tomorrow
you once was dreading to meet.
But you, you mighty one
shall remain standing still.
Thanks for reading and joining my site!

Thanks Barb. The inspiration behind this poem was my 80-year old Mom (ex-hubby's mom). Wrote it in my native tongue few weeks ago and tried translating it in English yesterday. It came out differently, better I think but the message is still intact.
